Exceptional craftsmanship

Solnaré jewelry is woven from Werregue, a resistant and versatile natural palm fiber. This craft, unique in Colombia and the Americas, is distinguished by its precise and rhythmic technique, creating a characteristic design.

Natural fibers

The manufacturing process begins in the Colombian Pacific forest. Palm leaves are harvested from the bud without cutting down the tree, thus preserving both the species and community craftsmanship. This process is 100% sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Thread creation

The threads are hand-made by the women of the community. The leaves are carefully cut into fibers,

Color

The fibers are then submerged in boiling water with a specific natural dye.

A 30-minute soak sets the color and enhances their durability, ensuring the quality of our artisanal jewelry.

Sun drying

The threads are then carefully washed and sun-dried for 2 to 3 days.

This natural process enhances their luster and strengthens the durability of the fibers. Finally, the threads are gently rubbed and polished, giving them an exceptional quality.

Weaving

The werregue weaving reflects the community's worldview. Its patterns symbolize nature: tears of the earth for rain, mountains and spirals for purification and abundance. This diversity of patterns makes our jewelry a unique craft.

The jewelry workshop

We are proud to collaborate with an exceptional jewelry workshop, founded in 2009 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This workshop, which also has a design studio in Bogota, Colombia, combines artisanal expertise and contemporary creativity.

This collaboration allows us to offer you jewelry of exceptional quality, imbued with the South American cultural heritage and crafted with passion and expertise.
